We start each morning with our 'Rise and Shine' session, setting the stage for a day full of discovery and play. This lively gathering brings the entire school together, providing a sneak peek into the exciting activities planned for the day ahead. It's not just a routine; it's a lively start that ignites the imagination for a day of adventure and learning.
In the heart of our daily schedule are the 'Discover!' sessions, designed to spark curiosity and passion for learning. It is here where our students are taught the key concepts for day, for example in 'Discover Maths!' where mathematical wonders come to life, or 'Discover Science!' where the mysteries of the scientific world unfold before their eyes. These sessions serve as a gateway to exploration, ensuring that each day is filled with exciting discoveries and hands-on learning experiences.
Following the 'Discovery!' lesson, the journey continues with the 'Develop!' sessions, promoting teamwork and creativity. These interactive activities build upon the day's discoveries, allowing students to apply newfound knowledge in engaging and collaborative ways in activities that not only reinforce learning but also encourage teamwork and creative expression.
Yet, the adventure doesn't end there. The Dragon Camp day is full of surprises, and no surprise is greater than our 'Dare!' sessions, where students are given a surprise challenge each day. From artistic endeavors inspired by nature to science-infused treasure hunts, 'Dare!' introduces exciting challenges that keep students eagerly anticipating the unknown. The element of surprise ensures that every day is filled with excitement and adventure, offering a delightful twist to the traditional summer camp experience.
In the spectacular 'Showtime!' event, students showcase their newfound skills in a dazzling array of fun, active, and interactive challenges. With a perfect blend of indoor and outdoor activities, our summer camp provides an immersive, hands-on learning experience that transcends the boundaries of a typical classroom. Join us for a summer filled with learning, laughter, and lifelong memories!
After dinner, everyone has the opportunity to choose their activity programme for the evening. From Art to Zorbing and everything in between, these exciting evening activities give everyone the chance to explore new activities or take part in some of their favourite endeavours.

We recognise that it’s important for students to be able to contact home during their time at Camp. Before summer, your dedicated Admissions Manager will share our Parent Welcome Pack, this includes a document called ‘Keeping in Contact’ which will let you know the best time of day to contact your child and a contact number for the Camp Dragon team if further support is required.
Camp Dragon is located at The Dragon School in leafy North Oxford. The Dragon School enjoys the best of both worlds – there are expansive playing fields alongside the banks of the River Cherwell but you are also a short walk into the inspiring City Centre of Oxford.
We know that sometimes parents/guardians will want to visit their child while they are at Camp Dragon, so we ask that you arrange this via your dedicated Admissions Manager with at least 24 hours’ notice. Where possible we want to make sure that students don’t miss too much of their exciting Summer School day so your Admissions Manager will be able to advise you on the best time to visit.
At Camp Dragon our classes are designed for students that are at A2 pre-intermediate level and above. Before the summer, we sent an online test for students to complete. We will use the results to confirm their suitability for the course. In the case that a student does not mee the required level on the test, we will consult an academic consultation to assess the next best step.
